Development Services for Coaches - Mentor Coaching
Mentor Coaching focuses on your coaching work and consists of coaching, feedback and competency development sessions to refresh and grow your coaching skills. In addition, we’ll work together in individual or group sessions to develop you as a newly qualified coach to support your ICF (International Coach Federation) application.
Mentor coaching offers a space for you to focus on your thinking and explore challenges in your self-development as a coach. It is a collaborative learning practice to continually build your capacity as a coach through reflective dialogue and listening. Everything we do during our sessions will align with the ICF core competencies.
All mentor coaching and feedback will be based on observed or recorded coaching sessions to increase your coaching ability and experience. I run all mentor coaching aligned with the ICF Core Competencies, as only ICF credentialed coaches at the right level can host this service.
During a free telephone consultation, we’ll discuss whether you prefer a 1-1 or a group coaching programme to meet your professional development needs and timescales. Typically as you need 10 hours for accreditation we will work using a combination of both.
Individual sessions of 1 hour are via Zoom (or your preferred virtual platform).
Or group mentor coaching can be arranged via Zoom, where competency development will be at a group level. It will involve you assessing your competencies before the session. In addition, competency focused exercises and coaching practice will occur with feedback from the group and me.
Mentor Coaching should take place over a three-month minimum period as it takes time for your ongoing practice and reflection and for me as a coach to provide feedback from observation.
My aim for mentor coaching is to offer you a place of learning, empathy and sharing without judgement to develop you as a coach. However, I can offer no guarantee on your securing the accreditation.

"Kate was my ICF Coach mentor as I went through the coaching accreditation process in both individual and group settings. Her coaching skills, guidance, advice and knowledge helped me not only pass the various elements of formal assessment, but more importantly, become a better coach. Kate offers a great balance of being positive and supportive, but also the ability to use her coaching expertise to offer challenges to help you improve.. "
